I have found contacts in a regulator fused together before . Once pried apart and dressed with a fine file it worked as normal . Look inside , you may be lucky .

The bolt I refer to only holds the clutch assembly to the pto shaft Cgranger . It certainly shouldn't go through the entire clutch , I'm having difficulty imagining just how that would happen . The regulator will read the voltage of the battery Olsen . A fully charged 6 volt battery is probably around 7 volts or a little more so all seems normal. Once the voltage drops the regulator will allow the dynamo to charge but not before . I would first perform a load test on the battery, attach a ...

Motoring the dynamo gives you two advantages Olsen . It will polarise and re excite it if has lost its residual magnetism from sitting for long periods .
