A common sight in Australia Toaster , there was legislation passed in the '60's , that required every tractor to carry some type of fire extinguisher, hence many Ferguson tractors were fitted with this type as they were relatively cheap and maintenance free .
I have a similar one ;

There were two horseshoe shaped sprung brackets placed on the bonnet; which I see you have , the extinguisher sat in those and was stabilised by the foot at the base of the cylinder .
They were not so successful in this position , they may have been accessible but the weight of the water sloshing about quickly ripped the mounting bolts out of the bonnet, especially the earlier alloy variety . Besides they looked bloody ugly and cumbersome perched up there .
They certainly weren't a Ferguson accessory , they were made for the most part by Rega and came in brass , galvanised steel and later plastic versions .
I have seen them fitted to the radius arm by custom made brackets , haven't any photographs of those though .

Forgot to mention that when they were mounted on a Grey Fergie the extra weight made it hard to open the bonnet . You also risked a nasty belt on the back of the head if the hood prop stick slipped :shock:
