Poppys fergy found!

Postby Connor24 » Wed Feb 25, 2015 8:38 am

My Pop used to own a fergy that came with the farm when he bought the property. iIt was a great machine and was beloved by all of us kids i have lots of fond memories on that tractor it was a big part of my childhood. Very sadly my Pop passed away in 2001 and the farm was sold along with the fergy (i was 9 years old), I remember the day it was sold and thought id never see it again. (Now 22 years old But about 6 months ago i was looking on gumtree and came across a fergy that looks alot like my pops one but thought it couldnt be what were the chances (it also had a new paint job). Came across the same fergy on gumtree i showed my dad the photos of it and he was convinced without a doubt it was the very tractor my pop owned, so i rang up the guy and sure enough it was the one could not believe the chances!! i am now saving up to buy the tractor back. Cannot believe after all these years I found it!!

There are instructions for resizing the photo here

It's a matter of uploading them using the light blue 'upload attachment' box below the box you write your reply to a post in.

This is my pops 1953 fergy that is back in the family after 13 years, it basically the same before it was sold except the paint job, it still has the original rear tires and the front tires that were off a morris minor (pop was a tight arse and didnt wanna pay for new tires haha) even has the same carryall frame, when it was first started it brought me back to my childhood. Absolutely stoked!!

Does anyone know how to trace the history of the fergy through the serial number? Cheers
