Newby Hall 2017

Postby Grunt » Mon Jun 19, 2017 5:27 pm

Here's a few vids from This years tractor fest at Newby Hall. Quality isn't that good I think I've got a diesel smudge in the middle of the lens. But they might brighten up those long winter nights in Australia.

Cheers grunt...

That foster lincon is one hell of a contraption...

And the red bailer behind the grey and gold is also a wild looking bit of gear...

Got to find some of these old school field days around SE QLD

Even stood watching it it's hard to work out what's going on. Newby Hall is one of the better shows, there's that much going on. You can be stood in the queue for an ice cream and have to step aside to let some ancient contraption chug by. Unfortunately there wasn't much going on this year, probably because there was a fair bit of rain leading up to the show so they don't allow any unnecessary movement which would destroy the fields.

It's a wuffler for turning the hay to help it dry.

Sorry I'm getting my tractors and implements mixed up. It isn't the wuffler it's a baler turning out very loose bales. I don't know anything about it except that it was churning out very loose bales that were more like sheaves than bales.

I wish I'd got a front end pic of the grey Fergie with the back actor on so we could see the front wheel mountings better.
