G'Day:) All I been on here for a while so I thought I better post something

I have 3 Grey Fergy's
'48 petrol - in the process of restoration

'52 petrol restored Registed and use for tractor treks displays even Santa borrowed it to make Deliveries last Christmas

' 56 Diesel with low range Howard gear box hard to find much info on the Howard gear box

I just picked my self up my first Ferguson 35
serial number is SJ 44399 FD ( think 1957 not sure
with Turf Tyre's on rear
its painted normal grey red colour but under it yellow paint is showing trough
from the lettering S = standard width J = industrial F single stage clutch D I gather is Diesel =
as it a 23c standard Diesel engine .
The access lid for water and fuel on the bonnet is buttons not leaver to open it
IF yellow is the original colour would it be yellow all over ?
Hope I am on the right track if anyone else has info or has one let me know please or any info on the Howard Gear Box would be welcome
cheers Johno

G'day Johno and welcome to the Forum.
Where is the yellow showing through on your 35, panel/tin work or castings/engine & transmission?if it is a 1957 with button release for bonnet hatch, then it might have originally been painted grey on the panels and the castings gold.
As mentioned above, we do like pictures.
Cheers WW.

Ey up Johno.
Stacks of info on the Howard reduction box on here. Have a look in the downloads bit for manuals etc. And in the implements bit under Howard reduction box, there's a thread on Howard rotavators in there as well. I can't post the links because I haven't worked out how to cut and paste web addresses on my iPad.

Welcome to the Forum from Canada. As mentioned picture are good. Especially some covering your reno work.
Do put your location in your profile and your tractor collection in the signature area. It helps a lot.

The Howard gear box on my 1956 TEF 20 is Not the Ferguson Epicyclic Reduction Gearbox that is a add in between the gear box and diff end of the tractor

It is the one built into the diff end of the tractor
as soon as I work out how to up load photos i will post
