Series land rover

Post by whitehillbillies » Mon Jan 06, 2020 4:08 am

Coming home the back way Thursday, stopped to help elderly couple change a flat tyre, even though 'dad' was quite capable, I said I would stay and help, till moving again..
Mention I had only passed this way in my Series 3 Monday. I have a couple of land rovers on the farm, dad replied, people have been trying to get them off me for years.
What are you going to do with them,
Nothing.
Well dont let them rust into the ground.
For stopping and helping, you had better come and look at them, and dive the S3 up.
In the mean time Corrina had been talking to 'mum' who had invited us to stay in there B&B Cottage for a night, for stopping.
What are they, i asked on parting ?
Series 1 and Series 2.
We exchanged phone no's, and yesterday had a text, reminding us of the 'deal' and they had just had just passed me on the road.
There surname. Gilbert :crylaughing:

A nice story.

As one good deed deserves another, I hope it has a happy ending!

You are a real Land Rover magnet

Someone has Gilbert as a surname, they would need therapy if they lived round here. I think I’ve said this before, a Gilbert round here is a greeny yellowy jelly like substance usually found on pavements and is the result of smoking 40 a day for 30 years.

Few pics.
Pick up next week if heavy rain and floods ease up a bit.

Hee, hee! Nice one...

Well done you!

The tyres look quite good, but I can see that you wouldn't want to drive it back in the rain...

Good luck with the weather.

That’s just the sort of thing I’m looking for for my next project, Are there any more?

Rain and floods, sounds like good old Blighty, you can’t go outside without being hit on the head by a trampoline.
