Great photos whb.

The top photo, as I remember, was of the T20 Morris Minor, used to tow the Royal Settee Carriage to the Test Match avoiding the main roads (the cricket umpire following the settee is carrying the driver's sandwiches). Note the soft white cushions provided for the Royals to safely place their crowns, which they took off during the somewhat bumpy journey, to avoid them wobbling off and falling in the dirt.

In the second picture, you can see the Air Scotland tractor, used to clear seagulls off the runways before take off by ploughing the sides of the runways thereby attracting the seagulls to follow the plough to eat the worms etc. The ring on the top of the cab allowed a helicopter to lift the tractor over to the other runways, so avoiding the tractor leaving potentially dangerous muddy tracks which could hinder takeoff just as much as the seagulls did. The cab was eventually removed when the driver was diagnosed with arthritis in the knees, caused by the exposure of his legs to the often harsh and bitter scottish wind, and he was provided with a quilted flying suit instead.
